Privacy Policy

Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, ClauseLens does not use or transfer user data for serving advertisements, does not allow humans to read user data (except as needed for security or legal compliance), and does not use or transfer data in ways that are not disclosed in this privacy policy.

What we collect

Contract text. When you click "Review with ClauseLens," the visible text of the contract (or text you paste manually) is sent over HTTPS to our API server (a Cloudflare Worker). This text is passed to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the risk analysis and is not stored after the response is returned to your browser. Anthropic processes this text under their own Privacy Policy and API Terms of Service; they do not use API-submitted content to train their models.

Usage counts. For paid subscribers, we store your remaining review credit balance tied to your session token. No usage data is collected for users who have not purchased.

Subscription data. If you purchase reviews or a subscription, Stripe processes your payment. We receive your email address and purchase status from Stripe and store them in Cloudflare KV to authenticate your session. We do not store credit card details.

Extension storage. The extension stores your session token and a local usage counter in chrome.storage.local on your device. This data never leaves your browser except as part of the API authentication header.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, address, or any personal information beyond what Stripe provides.
We do not log or retain contract text after a review is complete.
We do not sell, share, or monetise your data in any way.
We do not use cookies or third-party analytics.
We do not use your data to train or improve AI models.

Data retention

Usage counters expire automatically after 40 days. Subscriber records are deleted within 30 days of subscription cancellation upon request.

Your rights

To request deletion of your account data, email rahul001kar@gmail.com. We will delete all stored data within 7 business days.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change and note the date of the last revision at the top.
